Old North Knoxville H-1
- Style: Folk Victorian (c.1895)
- Two story frame with aluminum siding wall covering. Hip roof with lower cross gables, asphalt shingle roof covering. Deeply recessed one over one double hung windows. One story two bay offset front porch with replacement square wood columns with Doric capitals on brick piers. Interior offset front brick chimney. Brick foundation. L-shaped plan. Structure has been altered and additions made, with aluminum siding placed over original details that are probably Queen Anne or Eastlake. However, there is verbal evidence to suggest that this structure was originally a load-bearing brick building that was more Federal in style and much older than its apparent c.1895 date. A resident of Grainger tells of seeing the east wall of the building exposed, and confirms that it was load-bearing brick. A brick building is also indicated by the deeply recessed windows.
