MPC's Justice Published Nationally

Congratulations to MPC's Ryan Justice, who recently had a map project published in a Geographic Information System (GIS) trade book. Ryan's Knoxville Area Transit system map was the only map selected for the Transportation category in ESRI's publication, Map Book, an annual production from the mapping industry's leading software manufacturer. The publication enjoys worldwide readership.

The recent opening of Knoxville Area Transit's (KAT) Downtown Knoxville Central Station marked the completion of major upgrades to the KAT system. The changes included reconfigured fixed bus routes and an extensive marketing campaign. The cornerstone of those two efforts was a new system map developed by the Knoxville-Knox County Metropolitan Planning Commission. Read the full ESRI article >>

Ryan is a GIS Specialist in MPC's Information Services division. He is a graduate of The University of Tennessee's Geography Department and has been with MPC for 3 1/2 years. Again, congratulations Ryan!
