Community Growth Data and Resources Available

Knoxville-Knox County Planning staff recently compiled a collection of plans, growth data, and other information to make it easy for local officials, community partners, and residents to navigate.

"As planners, we know how important it is to consider all the available data, plans, and other resources before making recommendations. This page is a great resource to give local officials and community members easy access to the same information so we're all on the same page as we start talking about an update of the Growth Policy Plan and General Plan," said Gerald Green, Executive Director of Knoxville-Knox County Planning.   

The Community Growth Data and Resources page presents land use, transportation, and community facility plans and regulations currently in effect in Knox County. Also provided are data tables and charts depicting local population growth and building activity trends of the past two decades. Lastly, countywide land use maps from 2000 and 2017 are presented in side-by-side panels to show change over time.
