One Year Plan Update Meetings Scheduled

The One Year Plan is a tool that helps city officials make decisions about zoning and land use and the policies found within it form the legal basis for zoning decisions. The plan is updated annually.

Three public meetings have been scheduled as part of the annual update process. At each meeting, Planning staff will review plan amendments since the 2019 update and differences between permitted land uses and zoning. Past discussions have covered topics such as proposed developments, impact of the hillside protection area, the role of zoning and plans, and the seeming misalignment between zoning and planning patterns.

These open meetings are a great way for residents to get involved and stay involved in planning for their neighborhoods. Opportunities like these allow the community learn about the planning process and meet local decision-makers. However, we understand that not everyone can make it a public meeting. You can review the plan, presentation, and maps and also submit comments on the One Year Plan project webpage.
