What's Next Knoxville? What We've Heard… So Far
The City of Knoxville is updating its Comprehensive Plan, a long-range document that guides decisions on land use, transportation, and investment priorities in the city for years to come.
The process is called “What’s Next Knoxville?” For the last several months, the project team has asked our community that question and have been listening and learning.
All that community input has been compiled in the Round 1 Engagement Summary. See what your neighbors said, and if you think something is missing, share your ideas! You can do so online or stop by the headquarters at 30 Market Square to talk with the project team. It’s open every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Next, the feedback will be used to inform the draft vision statement and goals for the Comprehensive Plan, which will be presented, along with land use scenarios, during the next round of public outreach this fall.
In order to prepare a path forward, it’s important to understand where we are today. To do this, the project team created Knoxville Today, a tool that provides insight on the current state of Knoxville. This baseline information will help us understand how the city might look in the years to come.
We encourage you to stay informed and get involved through every step of this process. Learn more and subscribe to the newsletter to receive regular updates at WhatsNextKnoxville.com, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
