Regarding the proposed Dollar Store......locating it at this intersection is a bad idea . This is not a commercial area..it is residential. In addition there is a church right behind the property and the Tommy Schumpert recreational park and Sterchi Hill greenway is nearby. The Dollar store will put more traffic onto Fountain City Road. Walkers, runners,bikers cross this road every day on the greenway.. I’m one of them and we have to be extremely careful when crossing Fountain City road as it is. More traffic would make it really dangerous.
In addition it’s a simple decision ..this is not a commercial area. There are other appropriate commercial areas where this could be placed.
