Three lanes for Northshore before anymore!! Lack of constancies and conformance with the surrounding zoning a max 3 per acre would conform. The two other lots in this area that are zoned for this one is planned for 3 per acre and the other is being rezoned down from 5 per acre. While Northshore is listed as a secondary arterial road it is misclassified due to the lake blocking us there no other emergency egress we are stranded when there is any accident out here due to the back up. Just 11 days ago due to traffic backups a medical emergency had to be helicoptered out since services could not get to them. School impact study is not filed. KCSD is already behind servicing this area and children have 45 min bus rides due to overcrowding. (we have 1st graders that must get to the bus stop at 6:05AM) To put some perspective on the impact the number of students that would be added would be a 35% increase to Northshore Elementary. Once itâs been rezoned to 5 acre there is no limit on what the next developer can do. So, while the current application intentions may be sound there is no guarantee or protection from apartments being put in once its rezoned.
