As a nearby resident of this area and one who drives this way daily, I am strongly opposed to this change in zoning. This area can not carry the increased traffic as it is already continually overrun by dump trucks and very large vehicles going to and from the Riverside Landfill, Vulcan Materials and the KUB location constantly. The volume of heavy haul traffic is immense and the additional increase in traffic proposed by this plan is non-sustainable as it is a huge safety and road integrity issue. Our surrounding community as a whole is STRONGLY OPPOSED to this change of zoning.
