Bio

Logan Higgins / City of Knoxville

Logan is a graduate of UT Knoxville's School of Architecture and an active business owner in Knoxville.

He was exposed to urban planning, zoning, and urban housing in a variety of settings while in school and has remained engaged in these fields in his professional life. After school, he worked for a number of architecture firms before opening his own design and development company. He has spent years helping clients understand Knoxville's zoning ordinances and is familiar with rezoning, variances, historic zoning, and infill housing. Logan and his wife also own two local shops focused on products made by small scale makers and entrepreneurs. His goal as a commissioner is to promote healthy growth that is considerate of the current context and community as well as future generations. He believes that changes in population, technology, and resources should be heavy considerations in every decision that will affect our city for decades to come.
