Bio

Richard Levenson / Knox County

Richard is a Knoxville native and graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with more than four decades of experience working in real estate.


He began working in real estate in the 1970’s and was Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Preferred Properties from 1986 until retirement. Richard previously served as President of the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors and Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR). He has also been named RE/MAX International Broker/Owner of the Year and Regional Broker of the Year, TAR Realtor of the Year, and received the RE/MAX Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves as the TAR Government Affairs Chair. As a Planning Commissioner, he is interested in finding ways to promote affordable housing.
