APPROVE. Proposed changes, while they do not result in an exterior restoration, improve a situation of bad design in the Fourth & Gill neighborhood, and are consistent with the adopted guidelines..

    • Repair existing vinyl siding; replace windows with wood double hung windows; remove exterior stair and opening, repairing siding; rebuild front porch with wood square posts with capital detail to match neighboring houses; repair/replace rotted floor boards; remove secondary front door; replace existing shingle roof with metal roof, rebuilding roof structure as necessary.
    • MODIFICATION: REPLACE WINDOWS WITH WOOD DOUBLE HUNG WINDOWS, REMOVE EXTERIOR STAIR, REBUILD FRONT PORCH, REPAIR FLOOR, REMOVE SECOND FRONT DOOR, AND REPAIR THE ROOF STRUCTURE AND INSTALL A STANDING SEAM METAL ROOF. All other items to be reviewed at a later Commission meeting.

      • Two story frame with vinyl siding wall covering. Hip roof with lower cross gables, asphalt shingle roof covering. Replacement windows. One story full front porch with replacement aluminum round fluted columns, tongue and groove floor. Brick foundation. Irregular plan. Added two story metal stair on north elevation.
