Recommendation
The proposed deck is in an offset on the west side of the house and the entrance doors are fully visible from Arthur. The double doors are out of scale with their location on the house, but a single door with a full pane would be appropriate.

Level II: (Hear at 5/17/2005 meeting)porch on west elevation with turned spindle rail, full light single door and wood double hung window matching other windows in house; new historically appropriate front porch rail with turned spindles, at least true dimension 2"x2"; modify added garage roof at rear of house to 12/12; new roof on house and garage, possibly metal, eventually, and removing vinyl siding, if time permits.

      • Two story frame with aluminum siding wall covering. Hip roof with lower cross gables, hipped gabled dormer, asphalt shingle covering, pendant in front gable and bargeboard in front gable. Double hung two over two windows and one triple hung two over two window on front porch. One story full front porch with turned wood columns, sawn wood brackets and balustrade and gabled entrance and pendant centered at gable. Balustrade is not original. Interior offset brick chimney. Brick foundation. Irregular plan. Wrought iron fence at front sidewalk. Transom and sidelights at front entry.
