: Lord Lindsey Handicap Access Ramp

Approve Subject To Conditions

APPROVE Certificate 5-A-08-DT with the following conditions: 1) The accessibility ramp and railings must be painted black per the requirement of the Knoxville Historic Zoning Commission Certificate of Appropriateness for the Lord Lindsey property at 615 W. Avenue (File # 50508GEN), and 2) If a dumpster is present on the property it must be screened from view.

    • This request is for a new handicapped access ramp and 42' high guard rail from an existing parking lot to the Lord Lindsey's property. The ramp and guard rail will be made of painted metal and be 5ft wide. The ramp will start near Henley Street on the south side of the property and will follow the new retaining wall to be built until it crosses over the retaining wall on the north end of the site, to the rear of the Lord Lindsey property. See attached site plan and ramp elevations for additional information.
