Approval of demolishing the existing 1958 entrance and reconstructing it of block and brick veneer as indicated by submitted drawings. CONDITION: staff to approve entry door if not submitted to the HZC.

Applicant Request
    • Redesign and reconstruct entry vestibule of the annex added in 1958 to the 1928 Spanish Colonial Revival-style church building. Remove the existing entry vestibule and replace it with a slightly wider and deeper arched entry vestibule that aligns with the existing window opening above. Brick veneer to match existing yellow brick on building.

      • Calvary Evangelical Church. Two-story, five bay frame building with brick veneer wall covering. Fron-gable roof with asphalt roll roofing. Projecting three center bays with flanking flat roofed towers. Limestone foundation. Alternating window treatments of stained glass. Arches and arcades in center three bays of front facade. Corbelled brickwork on facade. Addition of concrete block with brick facade. Irregular plan. (C) Originally built
      • as Crichton Memorial Baptist Church.
