Approve new rear porch deck with shed roof as indicated by work description and submitted drawings. Any needed deck or stair rails to be approved by staff.Applicant Request
Deck; Doors; Roofing- Install new wood deck projecting 12 feet beyond an existing rear addition. Deck flooring to be of 1x6 treated lumber running parallel to the house. Install two sets of full-light wood-framed doors, add wood siding to rear of house where it has been removed. Extend shed roof of existing rear addition across the entire rear elevation at same pitch to create roof over a portion of the deck. Support extended roof with battered square wooden columns. Roof to have asphalt shingles to match existing. The two steps (treated lumber with enclosed risers) to the deck will surround the perimeter of the deck. Repair/replace siding on rest of house as needed.

- Two-story frame with weatherboard siding. Hip roof with lower cross gables, asphalt shingle roof covering, imbricated shingles on front gable. Projecting triangular pediment at top of front gable supported by brackets. Two-over-two double-hung windows. One-story two-thirds porch with turned wood columns with sawn brackets. Two brick chimneys, one interior end and one interior offset. Brick foundation. Irregular plan. Two-story projecting bay with patterned window.
