Applicant Request
:
    • This proposal is for three new signs on the Arnstein Building, which is in the Market Square Commercial Historic District (National Register Historic District).
    • There will be one hanging sign on the Union Avenue and Market Street corner of the building. The sign will utilize an existing bracket. It will be made of metal and will be 40 inches wide by 24 inches tall, or 6.66 square feet (see attached sign details). The sign will be externally illuminated using existing lighting fixtures.
    • There will be two new wall signs; one above the main entrance facing Market Street and one facing Union Avenue (see attached sign details). The sign facing Market Street will be 16 feet wide by 3 feet tall, or 48 square feet. The sign facing Union Avenue will be 9 feet 7 inches wide by 2 feet tall, or 19.2 square feet. Both signs will be made of metal and will be externally illuminated with a lighting fixture that extends from the sign mounting bracket, over the sign washed the sign with light. The sign mounting brackets will be made of aluminum tubing that matches the storefront material and will be mounted to the brick.
