Bio

Nick Gill / City of Knoxville

Born and raised in East Tennessee, Nick Gill has built a career centered around technical education as a path to opportunity.


In his role leading Workforce Development initiatives at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Knoxville, Nick works with regional employers, educators, and community partners to ensure that Knoxville students of all ages have the skills needed for a long-term career. As a father raising two young children, Nick is passionate about ensuring Knoxville and Knox County remain a community where his children can one day launch successful careers, live in great neighborhoods, connect with nature, and experience the vibrant, authentic city he loves. He values progress and sustainability and, as a commissioner, seeks to manage inevitable change while remaining true to the qualities that make Knoxville unique.
