MPC staff has made changes to the IH-1 Infill Housing Overlay that was postponed at the last MPC meeting, based on discussions with city staff. This zoning amendment gives our inner-city or Heart of Knoxville neighborhoods a zoning tool that can be used to protect and enhance the original character of these neighborhoods. The IH-1 Infill Housing Overlay addresses City Council?s concerns that were raised with the passage of Ordinance 0-09-06, which was a 90-day moratorium on issuing new building permits in Lonsdale.
