If you have been informed of an address change for your residence or business, here is a checklist to help you with the process.

U.S. Postal Service

Submit a change of address online at www.usps.com for a $1.25 fee if you have a credit card and valid email address. Print a change of address form from their website, then mail it or take it to your local post office to change your address for free. You also can obtain a change of address form from your local post office. After changing your address, the U.S. Postal Service will forward your mail to your new address for up to a year.

Driver License

The law requires you notify the Tennessee Department of Safety of an address change. However, you will not receive a new license or sticker for the back of your license. If you would like the new address on your license, you can order and pay for a duplicate license at www.TN.gov/safety, which will have the new address.
