Nancy Barger / Knox County
Nancy is a Knoxville native and owner of Barger Concepts, LLC, DBA: The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm, Swank Floral, and Tallulah's.
She is an adjunct professor and industry expert at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she teaches advanced event planning and design. Nancy graduated from Auburn University in 2001, obtaining her bachelor’s degree in aviation management and operations. She was a corporate pilot until 2008 when she opened The Pavilion at Hunter Valley Farm, taking over the farm where she grew up riding horses and competitively showing. Nancy is a graduate of the 2018 Leadership Knoxville and 2016 Introduction Knoxville classes, two-time chair of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign, and serves on The Development Corporation of Knoxville and Bearden High School Foundation boards. She also volunteers and donates event space for area charities. Nancy’s goal as a commissioner is to harness growth in Knoxville by supporting small business development and creativity within county/city planning.
