Bio

Nathaniel Shelso / City of Knoxville

Nathaniel Shelso is a University of Tennessee graduate with degrees in economics and finance. 

Throughout his career, Nathaniel has overseen a team of property managers, implemented a facilities management plan, implemented retail process improvements, been a retail banking analyst, and is currently a Relationship Manager in the Private Banking Department at FirstBank. He serves as treasurer of the Piney Grove Condominium Association, is a board member and treasurer of the East Tennessee Community Design Center, and is a board member of the East Tennessee Foundation and Two Bikes. He became interested in urban planning and zoning while studying real estate finance at UT and understanding the role that each play in building communities in which people want to live.
